2009

I am incredibly behind with my show results at the moment but will catch up with these over the next week or so!  My crew will be back out and about soon.

Briefly Mister F won IC BOB and Red Card Day at the Croydon giving him 10 ICs and crowning a fabulous 12 months.  Unfortunately he has been suffering with a mystery mouth condition and will be retired from showing for the time being ......

Schmoo gained 2 Intermediate Certificates as an entire Adult Selkirk before becoming VERY interested in girls and he was a neutered in May.  He is now back out on show bench as a neuter and we are hopeful he will continue in the same way he did as a kitten and young adult.  We are showing him lightly until those hormones finish settling down!

Also see my showing website www.selkirk-rexshowing.co.uk to see how my cats have been doing on the show scene.

Wyvern Cat Club 12th September 2009

It's never a good idea and I do it every year!  Go showing the day before I go on holiday!

I took 3 boys - Moosh on exhibition on the club stall and the two silver brothers - Schmoo & Softee.  I pulled Softee from the open class as he had qualified for the Supreme but his brother Santa won the Open and Best of Breed qualifying for the Supreme which was so exciting - have fun at your first Supreme Mandy!

Both my boys in competition did brilliantly in their sides placing in all of them!

Kensington Kitten and Neuter Cat Club 25th July 2009

On show today were my new kitten Mooshy and Schmoo attempting to win his first PC.  I was chuffed to bits with how the two boys behaved on a hot stuffy day and with Mooshy being only just old enough to show turning 14 weeks the day before!  There was tough competition with 4 kittens and 4 neuters all from well known and successful catteries.

Ragtime Tica "Feline Fine" 17th & 18th January 2009

Amazolou Mister Fantastic started off the year in great style at this two day show.  It was only Mister F's second TICA show and he did really well!  He started the show as a Double Grand Champion Alter:

Saturday

6 x Best of Colour, Best of Division & Best of Breed

1 x 2nd AB Final - Pascal Remy

1 x 3rd SP Final - Irene Van Belzen

1 x 8th AB Final - Tomoko Tanaka

Mister F finished the day as a Quadruple Grand Champion Alter and whilst we tried not to get too excited we realised it was possible for him to attain his Supreme Title on the Sunday!

Sunday

6 x Best of Colour, Best of Division & Best of Breed

Best Cat in SP Final - Irene Van Belzen

1 x 4th AB Final - Pascal Remy

1 x 7th AB Final - Genevieve Basquine

1 x 7th SP Final - Jean Marc Lagard

Mister F rose to the challenge and finished the show as

TICA SUPREME GRAND CHAMPION ALTER AMAZOLOU MISTER FANTASTIC

now that's bit of a mouthful!

Amazolou The New Schmoo was just into the adult classes and although he didn't final I was very pleased as both the female adults over the weekend were much older and more mature than him and he was not disgraced.

Saturday

6 x Best of Colour and Division

2 x Best of Breed

4 x 2nd Best of Breed

Sunday

6 x Best of Colour and Division

4 x Best of Breed

2 x 2nd Best of Breed

A great weekend and something I only wish I got to do more often!
