Literary Cats Litter

Lottie's first litter born on 15th May 2010 have all been named after cats in literature with Macavity, Mungojerrie, Rumpleteazer, Mr Mistoffelees and Tantomile being from T S Eliot's 'Old Possum's Books of Practical Cats'. 

Slinky Malinki is from a series of books by a New Zealand author Lynley Dodd as he was originally the second smallest and very slinky although he is now the biggest boy in the litter! 

Mehitabel is from the series of newspaper columns 'Archy and Mehitabel' written by Don Marquis starting in 1916.  She is as the original Mehitabel said 'jamais triste, toujours gai'.
